The present study examines the contemporary cybersecurity landscape in India by reviewing major cyber threats, legal and institutional frameworks, and recent cyber incidents affecting both public and private sectors. By analysing representative case studies and existing cybersecurity measures, the study identifies key challenges in the current cybersecurity ecosystem and highlights opportunities for improving organizational preparedness and national cyber resilience. The findings are expected to contribute to the growing body of knowledge on cybersecurity governance while providing practical insights for policymakers, organizations, and researchers.
