India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisions a future-ready education system that promotes innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, ethical citizenship, and employability. Within this vision, English language education plays a vital role in developing communication, critical thinking, intercultural competence, and digital literacy. The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities for personalized language learning while raising concerns about ethics, learner autonomy, academic integrity, and responsible AI use. This qualitative conceptual study synthesizes literature published between 2020 and 2026, along with NEP 2020 and related policy documents, using thematic analysis. Four key dimensions emerged: (1) AI-enabled language learning, (2) future skills development, (3) sustainable and inclusive learning, and (4) human values, including empathy, ethics, and intercultural understanding. The findings suggest that AI-enhanced language education can foster technological competence alongside ethical responsibility when aligned with learner-centered and competency-based pedagogies. The study proposes a conceptual framework integrating innovation, sustainability, and human values in AI-supported English language teaching. It concludes that teacher education and curriculum design should prioritize AI literacy, ethical pedagogy, and assessment innovation to prepare learners as globally competent, responsible, and future-ready citizens.
